The International Women's Day is celebrated every year on the 8th of March. This is the day of international recognition of the economic, political and social achievements of women.
The eighth of March has gradually become a part of the calendar of many countries. In some of them the day has lost its political flavor and is an occasion for men to express their sympathy and love to the women around them - something like a combination of the holidays of the Mother's Day and Saint Valentine's Day alike. In Bulgaria the day is also celebrated as Mother's Day.
